Lights out at the clinic!

Had a bit of a power outage today. The lights have flickered before, but they usually come right back on. This time, they were off for about an hour and a half. 

Do you know how hard it is to get bloodwork done or take radiographs, or take care of ICU patients, or things like that without electricity? The surgery room has an emergency light, but the rest is quite difficult. The girls had to use their cell phones to call clients to reschedule appointments because we didn't even have phones. 

The electric company never said what happened, and it didn't make the evening news, but about 300 customers were involved.

Guest spot from my daughter!

She was using the camera, and took a photo of the two little dolls that live in her rose garden house. The toy has spots where you can plant seeds and actually grow tiny plants.

Tried to get Rhi to sit for a photo shoot. 

She wasn't in the mood.

Rhi doing schoolwork. She has done so well in the last week, and has finished up several of her books.

Today Rhi and I went to see Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. 

We thought it was a pretty good movie. I had heard from a couple of people that we wouldn't like it if we'd read the books - so I guess it's a good thing we hadn't read the books. 

Definitely thinking about getting them though.

Whoops, got a little behind there.. At least I got the photos taken on time.. LOL

This was lunch.. Rhi and I made penny pizzas from some golden rolls. We placed them close together on the pan, to help with cheese coverage, and she had to make a face on hers. LOL.
